The objective was to design a property that didn't feel like a temporary vacation house, but rather a permanent, deeply grounded family footprint that seamlessly supports a fluid, indoor-outdoor lifestyle from sunrise to twilight.
To fulfill this vision, our design solutions focused entirely on bringing a rich, material-driven warmth into the sprawling pavilion layouts. Moving away from predictable, stark coastal aesthetics, we leaned heavily into a raw, tactile palette that complements the natural beauty of Exuma. The Great Room serves as the structural heart of the home, anchored by vaulted ceilings crafted from wide-planked organic timbers and hand-applied, sand-tinted plaster walls. Every piece of furniture was selected for its scale and honest materiality, highlighted by a colossal, low-slung custom coffee table carved from deeply grained wood and plush, ivory linen seating designed for effortless, long-form hosting.

With a large family, multiple kids, and beloved dogs, the clients required a welcoming, highly multi-functional compound that effortlessly balances high-end aesthetics with kid- and pet-friendly durability. Every square inch of the main living spaces was masterplanned to accommodate large-scale family entertaining, ensuring adults, children, and their fur babies could move freely and comfortably throughout the pavilions without sacrificing the home's sophisticated design integrity.
In contrast to the high-energy, multi-functional family zones, the clients envisioned their private master suite as an exclusive, darker, romantic bungalow retreat. We executed this vision through our comprehensive interior design solutions, balancing the clean lines of a custom low-profile wood plank platform bed and rich slatted hardwood features with deep, moody organic undertones. To break up the organic coastal textures and inject an old-world soul, we anchored the space with a magnificent antique Persian rug—introducing a layered, highly personalized depth.
